Project Description
Planned improvements include sidewalks and curb ramps, enhanced crossings, bulbouts (wider sections of sidewalks), crosswalks, signals, lighting, landscaping, bus stops, upgraded utilities, reconstruction of the roadway, and a transit lane for buses. The project also incorporates Tacoma’s portion of the spuyaləpabš regional trail, which will connect Tacoma’s local trail system to the Interurban Trail in Fife and the Puyallup Riverwalk Trail.
Plan renderings represent general concepts of the preliminary design so far. Street design is not yet complete and streetscape elements have yet to be determined. Designs will vary along the corridor.
