T-Town: City Services Expo and Trades & Hiring Fair is a free community event providing Tacoma residents with the chance to interact with City departments, participate in live demonstrations, and explore job opportunities. The event is designed to engage residents of all ages and highlight the wide range of services offered by the City of Tacoma. The job fair was added to the event in 2023, in partnership with Tacoma Public Schools and Korsmo Construction.

In partnership with TPS and Korsmo Construction, the Trades & Hiring Fair will take place in the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall. TPS will bus in high school students to explore career pathways in industries like maritime, transportation, logistics, and construction. There will be around 100 booths from local trades-related companies, educational institutions, and apprenticeship programs, offering job opportunities for youth and adults alike.

T-Town offers a chance to explore and learn about City services through live demonstrations and hands-on activities in the Arena. 2024’s event included a generator bike peddled to create electricity, a life-sized affirmations tree wall, the Public Works Traffic Garden, a Ballin’ Out For Safety activity, Tacoma Dome friendship bracelet making, and so much more!

Arrive early! Parking in Tacoma Dome lots is limited and will fill quickly. Parking at Tacoma Dome lots is first-come, first-served.

Free parking will be available at the Tacoma Dome for this event.

Guests should use the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall entry doors.

Security measures are in place for all Tacoma Dome events. The clear bag policy is not in place for this event. All bags are subjected to search. Medical necessity and diaper bags are allowed.

Guests are advised to arrive early and to only bring essential items to expedite security screening.

Outside food & beverages are not allowed. Exceptions are made for health-related needs. See the Food and Beverage Policy in our A-Z Guide for more information.
