A public memorial service for firefighter Robert “Bo” Schiemer is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall. Firefighter Schiemer passed away on January 29, 2023, after a long fight with duty-related cancer.

The 46-year-old was an 11-year veteran with the department and was most recently assigned to the ladder truck at Fire Station 1. The service will also be broadcast live on TV Tacoma and streamed on www.tvtacoma.org.
