As part of the next steps in the recruitment process, the public is invited to attend the City Manager Recruitment Community Event on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the Tacoma Dome.
The community event is designed to give residents an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and share feedback. During the program, finalists will deliver brief presentations on their qualifications and vision for the City Manager role, followed by questions from City Council members. A community meet-and-greet will follow, allowing attendees to engage with the candidates and provide written feedback which will be shared with City Council to support their decision-making.
The Tacoma Dome is served by T-Line Link Light Rail, Tacoma Dome Station, and Pierce Transit Bus Route #42. More information is available on the Tacoma Dome’s Transportation web page.

Parking
Free parking is available at Lot A, with ADA parking available in Lot K.
Entry Doors
All guests should enter through the Lower NW doors.
Security
Security measures are in place for all Tacoma Dome events, including metal detectors, bag size restrictions (12"x6"x12"), and bag searches. Backpacks are not allowed. Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives, are not allowed. If you see something, say something™. Visit our Security page for more details.
Please note: the Tacoma Dome clear bag policy is not in place for this event. However, guests are encouraged to only bring essential items to expedite entry and reduce touchpoints.
Food and Beverage
