The Tacoma Dome is located in the City of Tacoma, just east of downtown on the edge of Commencement Bay. The address at the Tacoma Dome is 2727 East “D” Street, Tacoma, WA 98421. The mailing address is the same for deliveries; however, all deliveries should be routed to the 24-Hour Security office located at the Northeast side of the Tacoma Dome. Advance Ticket Sales

To avoid long lines at the box office on the day of show, guests are encouraged to purchase tickets well in advance to the event. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Tacoma Dome Box Office or any other Ticketmaster outlet. The Tacoma Dome Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. and Saturday 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. The box office may be open later on select event days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Alcohol

Washington State liquor laws prohibit guests from bringing alcoholic beverages into the Tacoma Dome. The only alcohol permitted on the premises must be purchased and/or dispensed by authorized servers. Guests who appear to be under the age of 30 will be required to show approved identification. Only “Bona Fide” identification that is currently valid (not expired), issued by a Government Agency and which contains the following will be accepted: Name of Person, Photograph, Physical Description, and Date of Birth.

No guest will be served more than two alcoholic beverages per transaction. Alcohol beverage sales will be cut off at designated times during concerts and other events. Guests passing alcohol to minors will be ejected and subject to arrest.

Washington State liquor laws prohibit guests from bringing alcoholic beverages into the seating areas during “darkened house shows.” Guest services representatives will start limiting access to the seating areas fifteen (15) minutes prior to the lights going out.

Ambulances

An ambulance as well as Emergency Medical Technicians are on-site for most Tacoma Dome events. Contact the nearest guest services representative should you be in need of any emergency services.

Animals

Only certified service dogs or service dogs in training will be allowed into The Tacoma Dome. All other animals are prohibited.

Autographs

Some events at the Tacoma Dome do include autograph sessions. They are usually held in a designated area inside the Tacoma Dome. Ask the nearest guest services representative for more information on if or where autograph sessions will take place.

Automated Teller Machines

There are two Key Bank ATM machines at the Tacoma Dome. They are located on the Main Concourse Level of the facility in the Northwest corner and outside the facility in front of the Exhibition hall.

Automobile Assistance

Guests who need automobile assistance (dead batteries, lockouts, etc.) should contact the nearest Guest Services Representative or Parking Lot Attendant.

Baby Changing Areas   

Baby changing stations are located in every restroom at the Tacoma Dome. In addition, The Tacoma Dome has a family restroom located on the north side of the Main Concourse near section 15A.

Backstage Passes

Backstage passes are not provided by the Tacoma Dome. However, backstage passes may sometimes be obtained via the Fan Club, radio station contests, purchased as part of a VIP package, etc. The passes are supplied by the touring personnel and arrangements must be made to receive these passes prior to the event through the touring personnel. The Tacoma Dome, City of Tacoma, Centerplate, Staff Pro and Ticketmaster personnel cannot give backstage passes to guests attending any show.

Bag Search

The Tacoma Dome prohibits cans, bottles, containers, coolers, food and beverages from being brought into the Tacoma Dome. All bags are subject to search upon entry. Prohibited items should be disposed of in trash containers or returned to one’s vehicle. For specific event information, please call the Tacoma Dome office at (253) 272-3663.

Balloons

Balloons of any kind are not allowed inside of the Tacoma Dome.

Banners and Signs

Banners or signs may be brought in at the Tacoma Dome at the discretion of the event promoter or sponsor as long as they do not interfere with the event in progress and they do not obstruct the view of other guests in the area or cover any permanent building signage. A good rule of thumb is if the sign can fit under your seat it will usually be permitted. Banners may not contain political, personal or commercial messages or display inappropriate phrases or words. The Tacoma Dome reserves the right to refuse and/or remove any banners or signs at their discretion.

Bicycles

Bike racks are located in front of the Exhibition Hall and on the sidewalk near the flagpoles. In addition, there are structures available that can serve as an alternative to bicycle racks.

Binoculars

Binoculars are permitted for most events at the Tacoma Dome.

Bottles and Cans

No outside beverages are permitted in the Tacoma Dome and no cans are permitted. Empty water bottles are not permitted. Exceptions may be granted for baby formula, baby bottles, baby food, medication or other special health related needs.

Cameras and Videos   

Camera policies vary by event and are determined solely at the discretion of the show promoters and are subject to change without notice. For most events, non-professional cameras (no detachable lens) are allowed and audio/video equipment is prohibited. Support tools such as tripods are prohibited. Unauthorized or prohibited photography of an event may result in film or videotape being confiscated by show representatives. In all cases, the resale of photography or video is strictly prohibited. Catering Services

Catering Services are provided by the Tacoma Dome’s exclusive food service partner, Centerplate. Centerplate catering can be contacted at (253) 593-7635 for more information on catering your next event at the Tacoma Dome.

Cellular Phones and Pagers

Cellular phones and pagers are allowed into The Tacoma Dome provided they do not interfere with other guests’ enjoyment of the event. Guests are encouraged to silence all cell phones and pagers as a courtesy to other guests’ and performers. Cell phone cameras cannot be used during events prohibiting the use of cameras.

Chairs

Chairs of any kind (lawn chairs, folding chairs, etc.) are not permitted into the building. This includes general admission shows where there will be no chairs on the arena floor. Chairs will not be checked in at the entrances. Guests will be asked to return these items to their vehicle.

Children

For most events, children under two years of age do not need a ticket for entry into The Tacoma Dome. However, they must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. Children two years of age and older must have a ticket to the event. For details regarding the youth ticketing policy for a specific event, please call (253) 272-3663.

Code of Conduct

The Tacoma Dome and its employees are committed to providing our guests with an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. Our staff will proactively intervene to support a family oriented environment where all guests can enjoy the event free from the following behaviors:

• Foul or abusive language or gestures
• Intoxication or other signs of impairment
• Displays of affection not appropriate in a public, family setting
• Obscene or indecent clothing
• Any disruption to the progress of the event by guest’s actions or unauthorized person on the playing field, stage, etc.
• Guests seated in a location other than their ticketed seat
• Smoking or tobacco use of any kind

If someone interferes with your enjoyment of an event, please contact a Guest Services Representative for assistance.

Concessions

The Tacoma Dome’s food service partner, Centerplate, manages several fixed and portable concession stands at the Tacoma Dome. These stands feature many favorites such as hot dogs, soda, popcorn, nachos, tacos, pizza and barbeque specialties. The Tacoma Dome also features a varied selection of local micro-brew, import and domestic beer and other alcoholic beverages.

Containers and Coolers

Guests are not permitted to bring plastic containers (including empty water bottles) or coolers of any type into the Tacoma Dome. Coolers and containers will not be checked in at the entrances. Guests will be asked to return these items to their vehicle.

Credit Cards

Most of the Tacoma Dome permanent concession stands on the concourse accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and debit cards. The portable stands in the facility do not accept credit or debit cards. For most events, merchandise stands do accept credit and debit cards.

Directions   

Traveling South on I-5
Recommended Route: Exit 135 - Follow the off-ramp towards Portland Avenue. Follow East 27th Street across Portland Avenue. East 27th St. becomes Wiley Avenue. Follow the directionals to the parking lots.
Not Recommended: Exit 133

Traveling North on I-5

Recommended Route: Exit 134 - Follow the off-ramp to Portland Ave. Turn left on Portland Ave and left again at E. 27th St. (first light). E. 27th St. becomes Wiley Ave. Follow directionals to the parking lots.

Not Recommended: Exit 133

Dome Direct

Dome Direct is a free email service offered to our customers. The service includes notification via e-mail of all concerts and special events and when they go on sale. Dome Direct members occasionally have the ability to purchase tickets through exclusive internet pre-sales before they go on-sale to the general public for select events and exclusive ticket discounts for select events. Doors Open

Doors to the Tacoma Dome generally open 90 minutes prior to most events. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to avoid lines and for easy access to seats and services. Guests needing a wheelchair accessible entrance can use Lower A or Upper C entrance. Guests are also encouraged to pre-purchase tickets to avoid long lines at the box office. Drop-Off/Pick-Up Zones

The Drop-off/pick-up zone is in front of the building on “D” Street. Due to the limited space available in this area, road closures and high traffic at the beginning and conclusion of events, it is recommended that you drop off guests at another location near the Tacoma Dome (ie. Tacoma Dome Station, Best Western, Freighthouse Square) to facilitate an easier drop-off and pick-up.

Elevator   

The Tacoma Dome has a public elevator located on the west end of the facility near section 2B. This elevator accesses McKinley’s Grill Restaurant, the Arena Level and the Main Concourse.

Emergencies and Evacuation Procedures

In the event of a serious emergency, all event staff, law enforcement and fire personnel are available to assist guests. Information may also be provided over the public address system.

Event Cancellation Policy

In the event that a show is cancelled or postponed, ticket refund information is usually available the day after the announcement has been made.

Exhibition Hall

Attached to the Tacoma Dome arena is the Tacoma Dome exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is a multi-purpose facility with 28,800 feet of floor space. The exhibition hall host a wide range of events every year including trade shows, cultural festivals, corporate banquets and meetings, receptions and many more community events. Family Restrooms   

The Tacoma Dome has a family restroom located on the north side of the Main Concourse near section 15A.

Field/Backstage Access

Only authorized personnel with proper credentials will be permitted backstage or on the field/court before, during or after a game or event. Any unauthorized person who travels backstage or onto the field/court will be removed from the Tacoma Dome and subject to arrest and prosecution.

Firearms

For the safety of all guests, firearms of any kind, regardless of permit, are not allowed in the Tacoma Dome. The only exception to this is UNIFORMED law enforcement personnel in the performance of their official duties. The presenter of an event ticket consents to a reasonable search for weapons before entering. Failure to comply with the above conditions will result in not being admitted to the event or ejection. If a patron enters the Tacoma Dome and is ejected for any reason, no refunds or exchanges will be allowed in such an event.

First Aid

If medical assistance is needed, please contact the nearest Guest Services Representative. Emergency Medical Service personnel are on site for most events.

Free Speech Policy/Demonstrations

Organizations desiring to engage in free speech activity are encouraged to register with the Tacoma Dome Administrative Offices. The purpose of registration is not to censor or in any way review the content of the speech involved, but to allocate sufficient space for the activities and to provide proper crowd management planning.

Food and Beverage Policy

Outside food and beverages are not permitted at any time. Exceptions may be granted for baby formula, baby bottles, baby food, medication, or other special health related needs.

General Admission Seating   

Some general admission concerts at the Tacoma Dome will be divided into a “split house.” For these shows guests with a “General Admission” ticket will enter through the Lower A doors. Guests with a “Reserved Seat” ticket will enter through the Upper C doors. During “split house” shows reserved seat ticket holders will not have access to general admission viewing areas.

Laser Pointers   

The use of laser pointers is strictly prohibited at the Tacoma Dome and will result in confiscation of the laser pointer and possible ejection.

Link Light Rail

Tacoma’s Link Light Rail offers free transportation to and from the Tacoma Dome Station, two blocks north of the Tacoma Dome, to stations throughout downtown Tacoma. Please visit www.soundtransit.org for more information.

Lost and Found

After an event, call (253) 593-7652 to inquire about lost items. Lost and found is located at the 24-Hour Security office at the Tacoma Dome. Lost items will be kept for one month; those unclaimed after that time will be donated to charity. In most cases any unclaimed credit or debit cards are destroyed immediately as recommended by the issuing financial institution.

Lost Children

Guests are encouraged to instruct children in their group what to do if they become lost. If a child gets lost or separated from his or her group, the child should ask the nearest guest services representative for help. A lost child will be taken to the Staff Pro Security office at the West end of the arena. Parents looking for a lost child should follow the same procedure.

Mass Transit   

In addition to the Tacoma Link Light Rail (see “L”), the Tacoma Dome Station is located a few blocks from the Tacoma Dome. Please visit www.soundtransit.org for more information.

McKinley’s Lounge

McKinley’s Lounge - Hours of operation vary by event, call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information. Guests must have a ticket for that day’s event to enter the restaurant.

Medics

Emergency Medical Technicians are on-site for most Tacoma Dome events. Contact the nearest guest services representative should you be in need of any emergency services.

Meet and Greets

Many of our concerts do have “meet and greets” with the performers prior to the shows. The passes to these “meet and greets” are supplied by the touring personnel, local radio stations or event sponsors and arrangements must be made to receive these passes prior to the event through these channels. Often times the Tacoma Dome has no information on “meet and greet” times or locations until the day of the show. The Tacoma Dome, City of Tacoma and Ticketmaster personnel cannot give “meet and greet” passes to guests attending any show.

Paging   

Paging is permitted in the case of medical emergencies only when possible. If there is a medical emergency and paging is necessary, please contact any Guest Services representative.

Those who wish to leave an emergency number with relatives or sitters can refer them to the 24-Hour Security office at (253) 593-7652. Please remember to leave an exact seat location (section, row, seat number) at home with the emergency number. If the Tacoma Dome is contacted in the event of an emergency, a Guest Services representative will attempt to deliver the message to the patron’s seat.

Parent Hospitality Room

For select events there may be a parent’s hospitality room. Parents can wait here for guests that are attending an event at the Tacoma Dome. Usually, coffee, popcorn and a television are provided in the parent hospitality room. Please call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information.

Parking

Parking fees in Tacoma Dome Parking lots vary.  The price per car is $10-$25 depending on the event (cash only). Parking lots open approximately one hour and a half before the opening of doors for most events. The lots may open as early as six hours before major concerts. LINK Light Rail or Mass transit may be utilized also with stops at the Tacoma Dome Station during major Tacoma Dome events. Offsite parking is available in the areas surrounding the Tacoma Dome including city lots. Call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information or visit www.soundtransit.org.

Police

For the safety of our guests, the Tacoma Police are on site during most Tacoma Dome events. If you have an emergency, please contact the nearest Tacoma Dome representative.

Prohibited/Permitted Items

In the interest of guest safety and enjoyment, the Tacoma Dome reserves the right to prevent certain items from being brought into the facility. Items including, but not limited to, the following are not allowed in the Tacoma Dome:

• Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
• Non-alcoholic beer
• Food items
• Glass bottles or cans
• Ice chests or hard-sided coolers
• Camera tri-pods or mono-pods
• Sticks or clubs (including signs attached to sticks)
• Fireworks
• Mace/Pepper Spray
• Bullhorns, airhorns or other noisemakers
• Confetti
• Animals (except certified services dogs)
• Beach balls or other inflatables
• Bicycles
• Skateboards or roller blades
• Squirt guns or super soakers
• Balloons of any kind
• Laser pointers
• Weapons of any kind, regardless of permit (including but not limited to: firearms, knives, batons, mace, pepper spray, brass knuckles, tasers, etc.)
• Stickers
• Chains
• Studded belts, bracelets, etc.
• Chairs (lawn chairs, folding chairs)

Permitted Items:

Promotions/Vending

Any person or business wishing to distribute any promotional material or sell any product during a Tacoma Dome event must receive permission to do so from the promoter of the show. Recycling   

The Tacoma Dome and the City of Tacoma encourages recycling of beverage bottles and cans. You will find clearly marked bins in high-traffic areas for you to dispose of your plastic soda bottles and aluminum cans.

Re-Entry Policy

Re-entry during Tacoma Dome events varies. For some Tacoma Dome events once you have your ticket scanned at the entry doors, if you leave the building, you will not be permitted to re-enter. Please call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information.

Resale and Scalping

An event ticket will not be recognized, honored, or received for admission if purchased from a source other than the Tacoma Dome Box office, Ticketmaster, or its authorized outlets. There will be no refunds and no exchanges. Tickets obtained from sources other than any Ticketmaster outlet may be lost, stolen, or counterfeit tickets and in such cases will not be honored.

Reserved Seats

Most Tacoma Dome events are reserved seating events. A seating section and seat number will be included on your ticket and this is your seat for the entire event. Changing seats during an event is strictly prohibited.

Restaurant

McKinley’s Lounge - Hours of operation vary by event, call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information. Guests must have a ticket for that day’s event to enter McKinley's Lounge.

Revocable License

A ticket is a revocable license, and may be withdrawn at any time at the sole discretion of the Tacoma Dome. All tickets are subject to the rules, regulations, and policies of the Tacoma Dome. Tickets may be revoked for reasons including, but not limited to, the following: drunk or disorderly conduct, scalping or resale of tickets, counterfeit tickets, etc.

RV Parking

The Tacoma Dome has twenty-three (23) RV spaces available that include electric, sewer, and water. These spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. To reserve a space for WIAA events please contact Staff Pro at 253-274-8320 and include a fee of $40.00 per day. We have a limited number of RV spaces that do not include hookups. These spaces also are available on a first come first serve basis and include a variable fee of $20.00-$40.00 per day based on RV size.

Scaling   

Scaling refers to the system that the event promoter and Ticketmaster use to price the different seating areas for a particular event at the Tacoma Dome. Generally the seats in the lower bowl or on the floor will be more expensive then the upper seating areas.

Scoreboard Messages

Unfortunately, special messages cannot be displayed on the Tacoma Dome scoreboards.

Search

The level of search will be determined on an event by event basis. Searches implemented at the Tacoma Dome will vary from a visual search to random bag search to a full pat-down search. Backpacks are discouraged from being brought to the Tacoma Dome. Please call (253) 272-3663 for specific event information.

Security/Guest Services

Security and Guest Services at the Tacoma Dome are provided by Staff Pro Inc. For any questions or concerns please call (253) 274-8320.

Smoking Policy

The Tacoma Dome is a smoke-free facility and smoking of any kind including but not limited to cigarettes, tobacco, cigars, electric cigarettes and pipes is prohibited in all seating areas, the concourse, restrooms, concession stands, eating areas, view box, VIP lounges and administrative offices. Due to the Expanded Clean Air Act passed December 8, 2005 in Washington State, smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of doors. Due to the necessary clearance areas, there will be no smoking area designated and no re-entry for smoking during events at the Tacoma Dome facility. Solicitation/Literature

Any persons without written consent from the Tacoma Dome or the event promoter are prohibited from soliciting contributions or distributing literature on the Tacoma Dome property (inside or outside).

“Split House Shows”

Some general admission concerts at the Tacoma Dome will be divided into a “split house.” For these shows guests with a “General Admission” ticket will enter through the Lower A doors. Guests with a “Reserved Seat” ticket will enter through the Upper C doors. During “split house” shows reserved seat ticket holders will not have access to general admission viewing areas.

Strollers

Fold-up strollers may be stored under your seat during events at the Tacoma Dome. If your stroller does not fit under your seat you may check it in prior to the event. Contact the nearest guest services representative for information on checking in your stroller.

Tailgating   

Tailgating is not permitted in the Tacoma Dome parking lots. In accordance with Tacoma City Ordinance, guests may not consume alcohol in the parking lots or in their vehicles, nor may they posses an open container of alcohol. Guests are prohibited from operating any gas, electric or charcoal barbeques.

Telephones

Courtesy phones are located on the arena level in the Northwest corner, and on the main concourse near section 2B. A payphone is also located outside the Tacoma Dome in front of the exhibition hall. TDD phones are also available in the exhibition hall and on the main concourse.

Tickets

Ticketmaster is the official ticketing service of the Tacoma Dome. The Tacoma Dome Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. The box office may be open later on select event days. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at Ticketmaster.com. The Tacoma Dome Box Office also has tickets available to other Ticketmaster ticketed events including the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks.

Ticket On-Sales

No camping is allowed for ticket on-sales. For all Tacoma Dome on-sales, a random number draw will be held to establish the order of the ticket line. Every person involved in the random number draw has an equal chance of being the first person in line for tickets. Wristbands will be given to determine your number for the random draw. Wristbands are handed out until thirty (30) minutes prior to the scheduled on-sale time and are only available on the morning of the on-sale.

Will Call Window

Guests may pick up “Will Call” tickets at the Tacoma Dome Box Office located at the front of the facility on “D” Street. Will call tickets can only be picked up by the person whose credit card was used to purchase the tickets. Photo ID is required of anyone picking up tickets at Will Call, and tickets will only be released to the individual named on the envelope. Leaving tickets for a third party is prohibited. All of the tickets will be released to the individual named on the envelope. Call (253) 272-3663 for will call hours for specific events.
